Just over a month ago, Adelaide/Tarndanya trio Introduction released their debut self-titled EP – a collection of six beautifully minimal synth-pop -meets-post-punk gems. Today we’re thrilled to be premiering the visuals for standout track ‘Introduction’, a suitably mellow and hypnotic statement of intent that perfectly encapsulates the band’s understated power.
Leroy Macqueen – one half of hard-rocking Newcastle-born outfit The Gooch Palms – is embarking on a new chapter in his musical career under the guise of L.M. QUEEN. ‘S.M.A.’ – the first single released under this moniker – is a dramatic turn into the realm of darkwave and synth-pop, drawing inspiration from the genre’s forbears but careful to impart his own unique imprint.
One-man party band SPOD returns with cheeky new single ‘Sexual Fantasy’ – a bop fuelled by an erotic and narcotic groove. The track has been plucked from SPOD’s forthcoming (and fourth) studio album, Adult Fantasy, out in July through Rice Is Nice. Buoyed by a sensual synth-pop beat, ‘Sexual Fantasy’ sweeps listeners away on a romantic getaway, where we’re given insight to some intimate and tender moments.
Sublime synth-pop outfit Moon Rituals has announced its long-awaited LP, filled with eight tracks of glittering arrangements. ‘Sky Dance’ is the album’s lead single, and depicts a meeting of opposed forces – an interaction between Yin and Yang and the undeniable attraction that draws them together.
