After dipping her toes into stripped-back piano-driven songwriting on 2017 LP SHYNESS, Angela Garrick aka Angie Bermuda aka Angie has picked up the guitar once again to pen a collection of bulldozing rock-and-roll numbers for The Underling. Lead single ‘Blood On My Eyes’ finds Angie with dirt under her fingernails, sweat on her brow and a bit of fire in her gut.
Angie’s Free Agent is a soundtrack of the experiences over the past few years, reflected upon and set to rhythmic garage punk. It’s an album that adds nuance to the traditional guitar-driven sound and is a testament to Angie’s strength as a songwriter and her commitment to expressing the ideas in her head in the right way. The record has a dual nature but one that it unified by Angie’s unique voice and her desire to do whatever the fuck she wants.
