Pale Heads are accomplished noise churners that walk the razors edge between skuzz-punk and dirge. Boasting members of Batpiss, The Nation Blue and Bang! Bang! Aids! Pale Heads can proudly call themselves racket rippers that bring much brio to their work. The four-piece will be releasing a debut album, titled Headless, at the end of May through Poison City Records and in anticipation the group has hurled a caustic offering at us called ‘Devotion’.
‘Devotion’ is a ditty that splutters to life in a noxious brume before is straightens out and confidently hits a motoring stride. It’s all heat and head-whipping fury that is kept sharply in focus by Tom Lyngcoln’s vocalisations. Simply structured but perfectly executed, ‘Devotion’ is a terrific example of ruthless yet efficient punk rock with a discernable Australian lean. The group will be touring the east coast of the country in June, bringing with them the force of a new albums-worth of gauche goodness.
