This Adelaide group are a cult favourite across Australia thanks to their dark yet danceable tunes. ‘Fingerprints’ is a cut from the forthcoming Rule of Thirds LP due out on Nopatience Records sometime in April.
‘Fingerprints’ throbs and cuts quickly; it doesn’t waste time and all of its three minutes and six seconds is engrossing. The lyrics detail a stalker-type obsession – spying, creeping and a dark fixation on the oblivious subject. The pounding bass line ups the heart rate and tightens the tension before releasing at the finish. It’s easy to break a sweat to this as you subconsciously begin to twitch and bounce to the rhythm. It’s a dark beat with a spark of fire – I love it.
